OPMOM PRIVACY POLICY
OpMom's Privacy Policy is designed to help you understand how OpMom collects and uses the personal information you decide to share. It will also help you make informed decisions when using the features and services located at the OpMom.com website ("OpMom").

By using or accessing OpMom, you are accepting the practices and terms described in this Privacy Policy. If you have questions or concerns regarding this policy, you should contact us at privacy@opmom.com.

Our Privacy Commitment to You
OpMom was created specifically for families and is specifically designed to be a safer, more appropriate alternative to the existing Internet social networks, and to provide parents & families with a customized online resource for managing their busy lives.

OpMom Community Privacy Principles
You decide what information you wish to share with other Members.

Just like any other community of moms, OpMom functions around the sharing of information and ideas. However, you are given the ability to restrict what information of yours other Members can and cannot access.
Safeguards ensure that certain private information cannot be shared with other Members, even by accident.

In addition to providing social networking, OpMom provides its Members with tools and resources to organize their personal information and streamline their daily life. Some of the private information that can be organized in these systems (including but not limited to medical, family, and financial information you choose to store or organize) cannot be accessed by other Members through the OpMom system. Not even by accident.
We will take a “zero-tolerance” approach to any Privacy Policy or Terms of Use violations we discover.

We built OpMom with our Members’ safety and security in mind, and we intend to keep our online “neighborhood” as safe and secure as possible for our moms. Rest assured that we will enforce a zero-tolerance policy towards any and all privacy violations we discover in our community.

About the Information We Collect
When you initially register with OpMom, you provide us with certain personal information such as your name, your gender, certain family data, email address, telephone number, address, and certain other personal or preference information. This information is required by us to:
  1. confirm your eligibility to use OpMom;
  2. customize your OpMom experience to your locality and preferences; and,
  3. send you welcome information, OpMom rewards or other items as necessary.
As part of the registration process, each new OpMom Member completes her individual profile, which contains some personal information, family and demographic data, and preferences. From this profile input is derived the information that the Member chooses to include ("Profile Information"). Your basic Profile Information will be disclosed to other Members only and will not be viewable by unregistered visitors. However, the amount of other information that is disclosed to other Members will depend upon:
  1. your choices regarding whether to share or keep private particular items (i.e. recipes, travel logs, service provider referrals, etc.);
  2. the relationship between the other Member(s) and yourself;
  3. the type of information or data (i.e. some types of personal information cannot be shared); and,
  4. your other preferences and choices regarding disclosure
You should be aware that any information you disclose can be read, collected, or used by Members to whom it is disclosed, and could be used improperly to send you unsolicited messages. OpMom is not responsible for the personally identifiable information you choose to disclose or for others' use or misuse of such information. Any misuse or improper collection of Member Information provided is a violation of the OpMom Terms of Use and should be reported immediately to abuse@opmom.com.

OpMom also logs non-personally-identifiable information including IP address, aggregate user data, and browser type from Members and visitors to the site. These data are used to manage the website, track usage and improve the website services. This non-personally-identifiable information, as well as other non-personally-identifiable demographic and geographic information, may be shared with third-parties to provide more relevant services and advertisements to members. User IP addresses are recorded for security and monitoring purposes.

Profile Information, including a Member’s user name, shared pictures, and other shared information, are displayed to registered Members in order to facilitate user interaction in the OpMom social networking community. Email addresses are used for the purposes of scheduling and reminders, inviting new friends to join OpMom, administering and adding members to MomCircles, and to send notifications related to the service. With the exception of the aforementioned instances, a Member’s email address is not shared or displayed to people, even within a Member's personal network of moms. Members within a personal network communicate with each other on OpMom through the OpMom message system, and without having to disclose their email addresses. Members' full names are never directly revealed to other members. To facilitate finding old friends and meeting new ones in our community, OpMom allows Members to search for other moms using first and last name, email address, geographic location, general family information as well as personal interests and preferences.

We may also use a Member's email address to send updates, a newsletter or news regarding OpMom. Members may choose not to receive email of this type by changing their account settings at any time.

How We Use The Information You Disclose
We use your Personal Information to help us efficiently operate the Web Site and to contact you in connection with your transactions and other activities on the Web Site. We also use Personal Information to send you notifications regarding new services offered by OpMom or promotions of services that OpMom is undertaking with third parties that we think you may find valuable.

We do not provide Personal Information to third party marketers without your permission. We may, however, share aggregated demographic information about our user base with our partners and advertisers. This could include third parties with whom we choose to offer joint promotions or services. This information does not identify individual users.

We share your information with third parties only in limited circumstances where we believe such sharing is (1) legally required to comply with Federal or State laws and/or regulations, (2) reasonably necessary to offer the OpMom service, or (3) expressly permitted by you.

We may be required to disclose user information pursuant to lawful requests, such as subpoenas or court orders, or in compliance with applicable laws. We do not reveal information until we have a good faith belief that an information request by law enforcement or private litigants meets applicable legal standards. Additionally, we may share account or other information when we believe it is necessary to comply with law, to protect our interests or property, to prevent fraud or other illegal activity perpetrated through the OpMom service, or to prevent imminent bodily harm. This may include sharing information with other companies, lawyers, agents or government agencies.

We occasionally provide demonstration accounts to allow non-Members to view and experience the OpMom community. Such accounts have only limited capabilities (most communications features are disabled) and passwords are changed regularly to limit possible misuse.

If the ownership of all or substantially all of the OpMom.com business interest owned by TriTaur, LLC were to change, your user information may be transferred to the new owner so the service can continue operations. In any such transfer of information, your user information would remain subject to the promises made in any pre-existing privacy policy.

OpMom stores this email address for the purpose of automatically adding the respondent to the friends list of the Member sending the invitation, and also to send reminders of the invitation. OpMom does not sell these email addresses or use them to send any other communication besides invitations and invitation reminders.
